Hey everyone, Sarah here.
For years, SignalsEverywhere has been my platform for sharing projects, tutorials, and my passion for all things radio and tech. It’s been an incredible journey, and the support from this community has been amazing. Today, I’m thrilled to announce the next step in that journey: Sarah’s Forge .Dev.
Note that SignalsEverywhere is still our home for Radio however, for Sarah’s Forge….
Think of it as my digital workshop. A dedicated home for the software I build. It’s a place where I can release polished, useful tools for the radio and other communities.
One of the core ideas behind Sarah’s Forge is accessibility. I want everyone to be able to use these tools, regardless of their budget. That’s why I’m launching with a “Pay What You Want” model for some products. There’s a suggested price, but you can pay what you feel is fair, starting from a very low (sometimes even zero!) minimum. It’s a model built on trust and community support, which feels right.
So, what’s on the shelves at launch? I’m starting with three tools I think you’ll love.
For the Radio Enthusiasts: BenshiDash & Benshi Commander
If you run a modern Benshi-protocol radio like a BTech UV-Pro or RadioOddity GA-5WB, I’ve built two apps to completely change how you interact with it.
1. BenshiDash: The Ultimate In-Vehicle Head Unit
Tired of squinting at your radio while driving? BenshiDash transforms any Android tablet or head unit into a beautiful, full-screen dashboard for your radio. It gives you an at-a-glance view of everything that matters: both VFOs, signal strength, GPS status, and more.
The killer feature is the Live APRS Mapping. BenshiDash decodes packets and plots them on a live map in real-time, letting you see the action unfold without any extra hardware. It also has a powerful scanner and makes importing the 32 closest repeaters from RepeaterBook a one-tap process—perfect for road trips.
2. Benshi Commander: Your Radio’s Field Command Center
While BenshiDash is for the car, Benshi Commander is your radio’s command center in your pocket. It’s a complete field programming and operations toolkit for your Android phone.
You can read and write every single channel parameter in the app or for heavy-duty editing, you can start its built-in web server and program your radio from a full desktop browser on your local network. It also includes the smart repeater finder, a comprehensive status dashboard, and the ability to save and load your entire radio configuration to a file. It’s the tool for operators who need full control, anywhere.
For the Developers & Tinkerers: CopyTree
I know many of you are developers, builders, and tinkerers just like me. You’re going to love this.
Ever tried pasting an entire project into an AI model like ChatGPT for debugging or refactoring? It’s a mess. You have to copy files one by one, you lose the folder structure, and you hit context limits.
CopyTree is a simple command-line tool that solves this instantly. It walks through your project directory, builds a clean directory tree, and then appends the content of every single file with clear headers. The entire, perfectly formatted codebase is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into any AI. It even has a special mode to automatically split huge projects into manageable chunks. It’s the tool I always wanted, so I built it.
Check Them Out and Support the Forge
All three of these tools are live now on Sarah’s Forge .Dev.
- BenshiDash – The In-Vehicle Dashboard
- Benshi Commander – The Field Programmer
- CopyTree – The AI Code-Copier
Because they are “Pay What You Want,” you can grab them for their minimum price to try them out. If you find them valuable, I’d be grateful if you consider paying the suggested price or whatever you feel is fair. Your support is what makes it possible for me to build and release tools like these for the community.
Thank you for being a part of SignalsEverywhere. I can’t wait to see what we build together at the Forge.
73, Sarah
